Well...I'm thinking of the SOTU address where Webb threw down a gauntlet on Iraq after W's speech that we needed to "stay the course on Iraq" but then nothing ever materialized on his claims.
Agreed. I simply have hoped that the Democrats would respond much tougher than they have intimated. Though I disagree with Obama on many fronts, I believe he will solve the problems in Iraq, which should be of paramount importance right now.

Webb is a decent choice. I can't stand Clark. I still like Richardson because he has foreign policy experience.
ReplyDeleteI think either webb or clarke adds a foreign policy legitimacy to Obama's administration. Clark might also mollify some of the Clinton hardliners.

ReplyDeleteWell, there is a lot of blame to spread around on the war. Bush gave us the choice between bad and worse with no good options.
