So we won't limit guns or clips or ammunition

No, we will design bull's eye-like blankets for the kids to hide behind.  Oh, and we won't build tornado shelters for our kids either.  Because that would cost money and that means raising taxes.  Even when it is for children, Republicans won't raise taxes.  Because they are pro-life.

A Company Has Designed A Bulletproof Blanket To Protect Kids During School Shootings

I don't understand why this would even happen. School are "gun free" zones. Not only is it a federal law, but most states also ban guns in school. Why isn't this working?

Yeah, sarcasm is really the way to go here. Just keep doing that, and watch as the anti-gun sentiment grows.

I guess I don't understand how many people have to die before we acknowledge that carving out certain places as "gun free zones" isn't working. Almost every mass shooting seems to happen in these places.

California limits all the things you listed and we still had a sicko kill 6 people.

You really want more guns in schools? Are you serious?

No, I am not suggesting that. I am saying that these gun free zones are the favorite target of mass killers and that these people appear to be ignoring the prohibition against bringing guns in.

So, by logical extension, we should not make schools gun free, right?

What amazes me is that nothing can possibly justify--in your mind--making it just a little harder for these people to arm themselves to the teeth.

Gun free zones = Target rich environment. Can you explain why most shootings occur there?

I am saying that it isn't working and maybe it is time to look at some other plan.

Right. We are open to new ideas. None that limit access to guns. None that limit the amount of ammunition. Nope. Just ideas that mean more guns.

Please don't tell me that you are interested in new ideas.

When the Duck Dynasty guy said his piece about gays, several on the right correctly noted that what he said was inarticulate, crude, and mean, but it didn't actually vary much from what most conservative Christians thought about gays.

I am afraid that Joe the Plumber is just like that. He is an idiot, and easily dismissed, but his sentiment is pretty close to what most gun rights people believe.
