Natalie shows very clearly. Couple of interesting things here. One is the consumerism that drives much of our cultural discussions, and two is the sense that so many people assume that what is has always been. We can see that in a lot of areas, which makes teaching history so damn interesting.

We adopted our son from Ethiopia. In the first photos we received of him, he was dressed in all pink.
Of course everyone who saw the photo said: "I thought you were adopting a little boy..."
