Sigh

Bush was asked about the no confidence vote on Gonzales. He responded
"``They can try to have their vote of no confidence, but
it's not going to determine -- make the determination, who
serves in my government,'' Bush told reporters."
Newsflash, there, mr. Prez, it is not YOUR government. It is supposed to belong to all of us.

Blogging will be intermittent for a bit. On the road, but hope to post some as we go.

As he serves at the will of the president, the vote was a meaningless gesture. I guess I do have some level of admiration for his loyalty towards Gonzales, but I think he is not very well suited for the job. I am thankful, though, that he is not on the Supreme COurt.

I heard his "my government" schtick about 6:45 this morning, and that was my reaction except with more cursing involved. The cleaned up version would read something like, hey jackass, this government belongs to we the people. At least, it used to.

Safe travels Streak and SOF!

Actually, isn't the phrase, "pleasure of the president?" So, apparently, he finds Gonzales' service pleasureable. Ponder that for awhile.

ubub, that is nasty on so many levels.

I have this picture in my mind of Bush sitting on a throne, with a scepter. "Bring forth Gonzales," he would say. "Sir, you no longer please me...Begone."

Streak. Have a good trip.
