No, race is not a problem any more, no sir!

And certainly not in the Republican party.

Holy Shit! In 2008, a Republican congressman refers to an African American US Senator as "boy."

Wow. Davis is 49, Obama 46. I don't think I have ever called someone three years younger than me 'boy'. I would have to say this is veiled racism.

This midwest-northerner-never-been-farther-south-than-Missouri thinks it was pretty blatantly racist. He should have known better.

I spent way too long trying to figure out what he meant by "simulation," when it seems obvious that he meant "situation" and misspoke. Or is that a regional dialect thing?

Regardless, "boy" is way out of line.
