I really don't know. On one hand, I wonder if she has been so immediately packaged and handled that she has really no idea who she is any longer, or if this is just her. Her response to the trooper investigation initially was to cooperate completely. Then McCain took over and shut that whole thing down. Some are saying that McCain's campaign people are effectively running her Governorship right now.
This clip is really, really weird. I would have no problem rattling off the papers I peruse online every day. I don't understand her at all.
This is just more gotcha journalism. She doesn't have to answer to the likes of you, and to suggest otherwise is just so blatantly sexist that I can hardly speak. I am going to suspend my comment on this blog until you can show appropriate deference. My friends, for over five years, no one showed me any deference at all, so I understand all too well.
I have read that some are calling this "gotcha journalism". I can't stand it. Asking a question about what publications you read is a logical followup question, not a "gotcha". If she gets "gotten" by this, then how the hell can we expect her to make decisions about anything even remotely important?

I posted on this at my blog. This seems like a simple and straightforward question. Why the deflection--the avoidance, you think?

What is sexist about asking what newspapers the Governor reads?
Nice McCain impersonation, "John M."! Good laugh.

Daggone. I am stupidly slow on the uptake. Thanks, Joe.
