Michael Moore demands apology from Wolf Blitzer

I am not a Michael Moore fan. I liked TV Nation, but have found him a bit polemical. But I am hearing interesting buzz about "Sicko" and have to say that I like this exchange with Wolf Blitzer:
Moore: Why don’t you tell the truth to the American people? I mean I wish that CNN and th eother mainstream media would just for once tell the truth….You fudged the facts about this issue—-about the war and I’m just curious. When are you going to aplogize to the American people for not bringing the truth to them that isn’t sponsored by some major corporation?

Moore was pissed! And I liked the constant, "why won't you admit you were wrong? Why won't you apologize to the American people?" That question should be asked of every Bush supporter and every member of the media.

To say that I am not much of a fan of Moore is an understatement. I did a blog article on him a while ago and made some comparisons to Leni Riefenstahl's Triumph of the Will. That blog is a group effort and most of the other writers and contributors are left-leaning. I was surprised that my post didn't generate all that much debate, as most seemed to not be fans.

The last movie I saw if his was Bowling for Columbine, which contained numerous misrepresentations. I just couldn't get into his demagoguery. He is avery smart man with some really good things to say, but he often veers off into advancng opinion as fact.

That being said, Sicko looks really good. I will probably wait a week or so, but I plan on seeing it. It is a compelling subject.

We saw Sicko last week. Easily Moore's best film to date. I mean, Fox even liked it, so that has to mean something. Incidentally, here's Moore's response to CNN's claims about his fudging the facts.
