Merry Christmas, Streak. Tell SOF the same. Are you doing the full tour? Take care- BB

thanks. this is just a quick trip to the front range. Let's just put it this way, we won't be testing Ben Franklin's addage about guests and fish.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and SOF! May your skills as a Super Macho Donkey Wrestler continue to wither in 2007.

Back, and thanks for the nice comments. I am not sure what the troll's comments on darfur mean in this thread, but will assume that is part of his troll-dom.

Short trip, but very intense. Very glad to be home and hope all of you had a nice Christmas.

BTW, the War on Christmas appears to be going badly. Everywhere I looked, it looked like Christmas.

Oh, and my Donkey Wrestler skills are just as good as they were last year. Streak has fancy plans--and pants to match!

More posts forthcoming.

the question i asked about darfur is very clear and plain. since some of you in here are so against the war in iraq, are you against us going to war in darfur to protect those people from genocide, when so many liberal groups and hollywood types are screaming for us to do something to help those people out?

just wondering.

volfan007

ps. the troll had a great Christmas. glad yall did too.

Once again, Volfan, you misread or choose not to read. Is there an arsenic problem in your wells in Tennessee?

I asked why it was in this thread.

streak,

again, i was just wondering about how yall felt about darfur after i saw several commercials about it on tv, and heard some news reports about it? would you be for sending troops in to darfur?

And again, I wonder if you ingest way too much arsenic.

I would love it if we could intervene in Darfur. This is a horrible tragedy. How would you suggest we do that? Bush has involved us in a completely different war for completely different reasons and our Army is, in the words of Colin Powell, "broken."

I remember when Clinton invervened in Bosnia and conservatives attacked him. He should have intervened in Rhuwanda, and I think has said so.

oooohhhh, so you are for war? as long as it's something that you see as fitting....ok, i get it now. what saddam was doing was ok, because you dont have much feeling for the iraq's or the kurds, or else you are just against it because bush is for it. ok.

also, bush was protecting our oil interest in iraq....point #2 for war.

also, bush was trying to attack terrorism...point #3 for going into iraq.

btw, do you think that we can be the world's police force? should we go into every country where wrongs and autracities are happening? should we put our soldiers in harms way like that?

whether it be darfur, iraq, ruwanda, vietnam, or wherever?

And now the arsenic can be your excuse for being an asshole. Either read what I actually say or move on. I never defended Saddam and you won't ever find me saying that.

You really aren't a good person. My friends don't believe you are a pastor, btw. They think you are lying about that too. It is hard to imagine, but I believe you are one. I have met terrible pastors over the years. People who made snap decisions--who's theology is as thin as their knowledge of, well everything else. Superficial, and under all the God talk--mean.

streak,

i dont understand why you and your friends feel the need to constantly call me names like mean, as-hole, sh-thead, stupid, ignorant, troll, etc.? just because i dont agree with yall doesnt mean that i hate yall, nor am i trying to be mean to yall. if i disagree with yall, then yall think that i am mean, or being ugly to yall. why do you feel that way? i am just trying to share with yall my feelings on subjects, and i am trying to share what the bible teaches about things. thats all.

i am sorry if yall have been upset by my comments. all i can do is say what i beleive....right? i am sorry if my comments have upset yall, but i have to say what i think is true........do i not?

To be fair, Volfan, I am the one calling you names. My friends just think you are ridiculous and think that I shouldn't respond to you. At all.

If you look at your last comment on this thread, you should recognize why I called you an asshole. You acted like an asshole. You said that because I opposed the Iraq war, I approved of Saddam's policies. That isn't a reasonable or logical leap, and you did it with a certain glee. That is why I called you an asshole and that is why I defend that.

Good tip. If you don't say stupid things we won't call you stupid.

I wish VolFan007 would change his or her name. It's giving Tennesseans a bad name, and I doubt he went to UT.

nicole,

i graduated from the u. of tn-martin with a degree in sociology and a minor in psych. i also had nearly enough hours to get a minor in business. i also have a masters degree in divinity from mid america baptist seminary in memphis.

most of the tennesseans who live around me would agree with me on much of the things i am saying in this blog.

nicole, what part of tn do you live in?

Yeah, it is always that Bible college masters that impresses the very hell out of us.

Sorry, Nicole, but don't worry. We know that Volfan is not representative even of Southern Baptists.
