From an Andrew Sullivan reader last January saying that a John McCain would be "rich in ideas and poor in rancor" because JMC represents "an integrity and heroism that simply cannot be denied."
Yeah, until that same Hero started using Britney Spears in ads against the candidate he supposedly respected. Ads, I might ad, that McCain is very proud of today.
Obama's response was spot on: "is this the best you can come up with?" Is this really what the country needs to worry about?
