As I noted in the previous comment thread, I thought the last person who wanted to see the Edwards' affair scandal right now was John McCain, and it looks like Josh Marshall agrees.

I was wondering why Edwards preemptively disqualified himself from Obama's VP slot, and this seems to explain a lot of that. I'm interested to see how much scrutiny this will bring to McCain's colorful marital history. My gut is that they won't bring it up at all, but I can't tell whether that's my honest expectation, or just more pessimism.
